2015, I bid adieu et merci.

2016, bring it on!

Retrospection is an ongoing process but with the end of a year comes a chance for a more deliberate approach for assessment. 2015 was one with the best of times and the worst of times. It is inevitable that life will kick you down, providing priceless moments that cause pause and lead to opportunities for growth and fortitude, if one so chooses.

I choose.

I learned to appreciate more; compromise more; give of myself more; forgive more; let go of hindering expectations; accept change and roll with the punches; stand firm in my convictions; express myself more diplomatically; doubt myself a little less; go further afield. I enjoyed the highest of highs and endured the lowest of lows. It was exhilarating, filled with new experiences, inspirational, challenging, discomfort-rousing, pride-bashing; but ever an overflow of humor, love and emotional elevation.

I am so grateful to all who made this another special year. Thank you for sharing your energy and invigorating my spirit. As I walk into 2016 a little more confident, the fear a little more dissipated, I pray that it is another fruitful year on our journey to self-actualization, discovery and service.
