Straits

On a cool(ish) Houston night, my friends and I made our way to City Centre to check out a Singaporean restaurant called Straits which boasted an Asian fusion cuisine.

I ordered the wok-fired mussels which, although tasted excellent, had a really strong, pungent, fishy smell. I attributed this to its fresh state, but still a bit of a turn off. I didn't get sick, so I'll stick with my theory. We sat inside because it was a chilly evening, but the cabanas outside were beckoning me. Still, I liked the decor in the interior and who could resist  the tempting aroma emanating from the open hibachi grill.

When I return to Houston, I will go back to this restaurant and enjoy the other menu options.
