Planning for Jamaica Heroes Weekend 2019
Heroes Day in Jamaica is a holiday celebrated on the 3rd Monday of October every year, and it commemorates seven national figures in Jamaican culture and history.
Several promoters have incorporated sexy parties and premium events in Ocho Rios to celebrate the long weekend, a.k.a Jamaica Heroes Weekend.

GETTING THERE
The Jamaica Heroes Weekend party activities take place in Ocho Rios, a town in the North coast of Jamaica. Ocho Rios is equidistant from the island’s two international airports, therefore you can fly into either Kingston (Norman Manley international Airport) or Montego Bay (Sangster International Airport). The drive will take about 1.5 - 2 hours. Flight prices are ranging from $300 to $650 roundtrip from most US cities (even LA!) right now.

GETTING AROUND
If you feel comfortable driving when you travel abroad, I recommend renting a car as the most economical way to get around. I have found driving in Ocho Rios does not intimidate me as much. Car rentals for the weekend are pricing at under $200 for the weekend.
You can also find taxis pretty easily in Ocho Rios, especially if you are staying at a hotel.
